Has it really been nearly a year since we’ve updated the USS Kelly website? Unfortunately, yes, and a lot has happened since we last posted in December 2024. In other ways we haven’t changed at all.
- We are still active on Facebook, even if this website has been neglected (we are working on remedies for that, which may require a full website overhaul).
- We are still actively part of Starfleet Command’s Seventh Fleet.
- We are still recruiting new members and helping our recruits advance reach the ranks they want to within the Fleet (see the updated 2025 Rank Tracks info on the Seventh Fleet website.)
- Our Communique is still published about once a quarter and has been updated with the latest three issues (Vol. 2, Issues 8-10), with Issue 11 due out soon. We send those out to our crewmembers and friends in PDF format via a Weekly Briefing email. If you wish to be on the Weekly Briefing list, please visit us on our Facebook page as emails through this website don’t reach us properly.
- The USS Kelly just celebrated its 39th Anniversary on September 1, 2025. Do you know how many clubs can lay claim to over three decades of history?
- I, Lt. Commander Jill Patterson, am no longer the Captain of the USS Kelly NCC 73400-B. That privilege has been given to Julie Henkes, who is about one Command Project away from becoming Lt. Commander herself. I appreciate the time I’ve had as your captain, and look forward to seeing where Julie leads in the coming years.
I want to take this opportunity to congratulate Captain Henkes on her new position as Captain of the USS Kelly. May you, and the club, Live Long and Prosper!
