Mountain Con will be running 2 stands again this year, with the proceeeds to go to eliminating their debt. Volunteers are needed to work each day. Operating hours are 10AM to 10 PM. Any hours you can work will be helpful. The locations are Sam's club parking lot in Murray (6500 S State) and Carlos' Produce parking lot in Ogden (Washington Blvd and 30th St)
Tell all your family and friends to buy TNT fireworks from MT Con.
(Note: The Ogden stand was broken into the night before opening and suffered a $500 loss. Help them make up the loss by bringing either location more business).

Mt Con is accepting donated items of any sort for a yard sale to be held July 11. Contact S00@usskelly.com Pickup can be arranged for large items or substantial quantity. Yard sale hours are 7am to 1 pm and the location is the Bogler's--6221 S 700 W in Murray.

The Seventh Fleet Olympics will be held August 15 beginning at Noon at the LDS church house located at 6300 S 700 W in Murray. More details soon.

Our September activity will mark the club's anniversary. Captain Henline has declared September 19 "Commander Dave Thalmann Day". We will have a showcase event that evening where anyone in the crew can honor our XO however they choose--a gift, a tribute, a song, poem, presentation, skit etc. You might want to watch the TNG episode "The Pegasus" (season 7, disc 3) to see how the Enterprise crew did "Captain Picard Day". June 27-July 5 they will be running a fireworks stand again. Buy your fireworks from them at the tent in the Murray Sam's Club parking lot. They will also be selling July 22-24.
July 11 they will hold a yard sale (this replaces their participation in the B98.7 yard sale). It will be held at "Seven Starboard" (The Boglers' home) 6221 S 700 W in Murray.
Proceeds will be used to retire debt from Mountain Con IV. Volunteers are needed for the fireworks stand. Donataions are needed for the yard sale (pickup can be arranged). Contact soo@usskelly.com for more info on the yard sale. Contact info@mountaincon.org for general inquiries.

The U.S.S. Retributor will be attending the U.S. Air Force air show at Hill AFB Saturday June 6. The event runs 10am to 5pm. Gates open at 8:00am. Shows start at 10:00am. Admission is free. Enter through the Roy or South gates to the base. Be prepared with water, sunscreen and high temperatures (the public is out on the general tarmac). Food is available onsite (ATMs as well) or bring your own. No weapons, pets or smoking is allowed at the base.

Our May activity is the Star Trek XI premier event ("MegaCom") Thurs, Fri & Sat at Jordan Commons Magaplex (9400 S State, IMAX lobby).
We will be running a "Meet The Fleet" event Thursday May 7 from 4-7pm (3:30 for setup) leading up to the premiere screening at 7pm. We will need volunteers to man a table and work the crowd. Please wear a uniform if possible. are the next preference, followed by Club T-shirts, then Star Trek shirts, then MegaCom shirts (available at the theater). We are planning to be there until midnight.
If you ordered a TOS shirt they should be here Tuesday, or pick it up at the theater. Payment is due at that time to Lee Cupples, if you have not already paid.
Friday we need volunteers from 6-11pm, and Saturday from Noon-11. The theater has been changing or cancelling the events they had advertized, and we may not get into a showing for free; however this is still a great opportunity to promote the Kelly.
We need decorations and decorating ideas for the Star Trek weekend. The theater has asked us to decorate the IMAX lobby. If you have Star Trek or generic sci-fi standees, wall hangings or other items not requiring a table or stand to display, please contact soo@usskelly.com. WARNING--Items will be displayed in a public venue with a lot of foot traffic. They may be left unsecured for several days and/or be subjected to damage or theft. Contribute at your own risk.

the Captain wants everyone to re-committ to the club's values & principles. To this end has requests every member to re-submit an application form. Neither your rank nor department will be affected by this. The application form lists the standards the club expectes from it's members and new applicants agree to uphold those standards when they sign the form.
